OCDI launches the detailed planning survey for “Project for the Development of the Master Plan to Transform Sihanoukville Port into a Regional Port and Logistics Hub in the Kingdom of Cambodia”

OCDI signed a contract with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)on April 4, 2025, to implement the detailed planning survey for the “Project forthe Development of the Master Plan to Transform Sihanoukville Port into a Regional Port and Logistics Hub in the Kingdom of Cambodia.”

The purpose of this survey is to prepare the framework, implementation structure, outputs, and activities (survey items) of the abovementioned project based on arequest from the Cambodian government.

Survey works include confirming and discussing the contents with the Cambodian implementing agencies, concluding an agreement on the project, and conductinga preliminary evaluation.

The survey team will confirm the background and contents of the request and discuss the scope of the project with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport,and Sihanoukville Autonomous Port which are the implementing agencies.

During the on-site survey conducted in late April, Mr. Tatsuyuki Shishido, a Counselor of OCDI in charge of port development planning, participated as a member of the survey team.
