OCDI is a non-profit organization established with the authorization of the Japanese Government to undertake various kinds of activities including studies and research for the development of ports in developing countries.
Founded in 1976, OCDI has contributed to the technical and economic growth of more than 80 ports around the world.
OCDI comprises a group of experienced engineers, economists and other specialists from many fields. It has access to the facilities and staff of the National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management of MLIT and Port and Airport Research Institute as well as to other concerned authorities and institutions. And thus OCDI can swiftly organize highly efficient project teams tailored to the development requirements of a specific port.
