Mr. Tastuyuki SHISHDO, Principal Researcher of OCDI gave a presentation “On RORO Service Network in ASEAN” at the 7th Meeting of Indonesia Working Group of Conference of Overseas Port Logistics Projects which was held on 25th December 2014. The Conference was set up by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in 2010 in order to share and exchange information on projects on port logistics in overseas countries among public and private sectors.
The proposed layout plans of the RoRo Terminals of the priority routes as well as the background, process and the result of the Master Plan and Feasibility Study on the Establishment of an ASEAN ROLL-ON/ROLL-OFF (RO-RO) Shipping Network and Short Sea Shipping were introduced. The study was carried out by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in 2012/2013 with the participation of OCDI. OCDI hopes that the presentation helps people concerned to understand the significance and issues of establishing RO-RO shipping networks which ASEAN is promoting to enhance the connectivity among ASEAN. The slides (in Japanese) used in the presentation have been uploaded to the website of MLIT. (http://www.mlit.go.jp/common/001064862.pdf)
