Training course on “Improvement of Port Cargo Transport Efficiency for African Countries” was completed

An online training course “Improvement of Port Cargo Transport Efficiency for African Countries” was held from February 17th to March 9th, 2021. A total of 11 people from seven African countries (Egypt, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania, Nigeria, Burundi, Mozambique) who are responsible for port planning and logistics participated in this training course.

Examples of measures taken to improve logistics efficiency in Japan and other countries were introduced in this course. In addition, trainees were asked to identify problems in their own countries and prepare action plans to improve logistics efficiency.

To make best use of the online format, some lectures form the “STRATEGIC PORT ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT” training program were incorporated into this course.

This training course will continue from June 2021 when participants are expected to be able to visit ports in Japan.

This is the last time that this training course will be conducted
