On August 9th, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited Matarbari Deep-Sea Port and the coal-fired power plant in Cox’s Bazar District for the first time since the new government took office. Seiji Sato, OCDI’s Principal Director for Research, joined the Prime Minister at the site. Following the visit, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the integrated development of power, energy, the deep-sea port, and industrial infrastructure.
